UK e-bike company EBCO Limited has officially renamed as TVS EBike Company Limited, reflecting a strategic move to align with the wider TVS EBike Company, and cement its long-term commitment to the UK market.
TVS EBike Company, part of the global mobility group TVS Motor Company, brings together multiple e-bike brands under one roof, with EBCO as a standalone brand in the UK.
The newly renamed TVS EBike Company Limited operates both as a brand owner of EBCO and as a distributor of the groups wider e-bike offerings, giving it a unique position in the market to deliver a diverse portfolio to dealers and consumers.
TVS Motor Company, a leading two- and three-wheeler manufacturer, acquired a majority stake in EBCO in 2022 as part of its strategy to establish a strong global footprint in the e-bike sector. Established in 2025, TVS EBike Company now operates as a dedicated business with its own leadership, teams, and resources, focused exclusively on the e-bike category in various disciplines.
Deven Kataria, CEO of TVS EBike Company Limited, said: “This name change is far more than a rebrand. It’s a statement of intent. We are a dedicated e-bike company, part of a global family of brands, with the stability and resources to invest, innovate, and grow in the UK and beyond.
Kataria also commented that: “Building on our successful brands Cilo, EGO Movement and Simpel, the EBCO brand will continue as part of our portfolio, but our new company name better reflects who we are today and where we’re going tomorrow.”
The business expects to share further announcements – planned for later this year – as part of a wider global expansion strategy.
