EUROBIKE 2010: New BB design fits 2.3 tyres with ease

Eastern introduces wider BB to BMX models

Eastern Bikes has revised the Mid BB, used as standard in the BMX world, making it wider to accept fatter tyres – a trend which has crept into BMX in recent years.

The majority of the mid to high-end BMX bikes in the 2011 line will utilise the new BB design which enables the wishbone to be wider spread, thus accomodating a larger tyre.

2.3" tyres are creeping into the niche with several manufacturers noting a demand for the bulky designs for both street and dirt use.

Eastern is calling the new bottom bracket design the EBB (Eastern Bottom Bracket)
