Cyclescheme has become the official provider of the Cycle to Work scheme to retailer Decathlon.
The deal was initiated after requests from two large employers based close to Decathlon stores to take part in C2W. Previously Decathlon provided the Cycle to Work service directly to the staff of these organisations. Now, as a result of the deal, both of the large employers have joined the growing portfolio of Cyclescheme clients.
Decathlon will continue to serve employees at these organisations, but, Cyclescheme said, this development has opened up greater sales opportunities for IBDs located in close proximity to the homes and work places of these employees. Previously these consumers could not facilitate their Cycle to Work purchase through the IBD network.
The Cyclescheme agreement is with all eight Decathlon stores, a privately owned retail chain.
Decathlon is based in Lille, France and has a store portfolio numbering 535 worldwide.
