Birmingham-based Dawes Cycles is sponsoring a one-man, twelve week-long ride for charity.
The ride, which is raising cash for the ‘Help for Heroes’ charity, will cover around seven thousand miles.
Wayne O’Brien, a senior media lecturer at the University of Chester, will ride a Dawes Galaxy across the United States from San Francisco to New York. O’Brien is then heading to Gibraltar before riding back to Warrington in the UK.
O’Brien will complete an online diary during his epic ride, feeding recordings back to his students in Chester who will then update his website – www.thecharityride.com as well as Youtube and Facebook.
Dawes will also follow the journey via its own website here.
