Dan Jones has returned to the bike industry, joining electric bike brand Cikada to lead its expansion in the UK and Europe.
Backed by fitness and sporting goods giant Dyaco International, Cikada has recently launched in the UK with a range of urban and utility e-bikes positioned at accessible price points from £1,499 to £2,999.

Jones, who previously served as UK sales manager for Riese & Müller — where he built a national dealer network for the premium German brand — and as an agent for FLi Distribution (representing KTM and multiple accessory lines), brings extensive trade experience to the role. After leaving the cycle sector to start the full-fibre broadband provider Full Fibre, Jones is now back in what he describes as “my passion — the bike industry.”
Dyaco International, with over 30 years in fitness equipment and a strong manufacturing base in Taiwan, has been producing bikes for other brands for years before pivoting to develop its own Cikada e-bike line three years ago.
The initial UK lineup includes City and Touring step-through models (available now), Urban Cruise and Urban Adventure variants (due mid-January), and a short-tail cargo bike (arriving March).
Key highlights include Bafang hub and mid-drive systems, LG and Samsung batteries offering up to 100km assisted range with optional dual-battery setup, and practical features like high-volume puncture-resistant tyres and substantial rear racks.
Allen Ting, Chief Strategy Officer at Dyaco International, commented: “The UK is now a major part of our Cikada global focus, with Dan Jones leading the charge of this thrilling chapter, bringing our trusted performance to new riders ready for smarter, greener adventures.”
The brand is actively building its UK and European dealer network and is open to discussions with independent retailers interested in stocking the range.

Additionally, leveraging Dyaco’s manufacturing expertise and supply chain capabilities, Cikada is keen to engage with established or new brands seeking to expand market coverage in Europe, address logistics challenges, or explore OEM partnerships for white-label or private-label bikes or accessories.
