Dakine launches SS17 range

Dakine has announced that the Spring/ Summer 2017 range will reach stores in Europe from now.

The brand, which specialises in high-performing apparel, has created a range that comprises of jerseys, shorts and gloves that are suitable for a range of different riders in the fields of enduro, downhill and freeride.

The Dakine Cross X Glove features three millimetres of foam padding on the palm plus sonic welded deflectors on the knuckles. The moisture wicking four-way stretch polyester with air mesh keeps the rider’s hands dry and cool whilst the synthetic suede palm and silicone gripped fingertips offer improved handling.

The Aura women’s glove features three millimetres of gel padding to minimise fatigue. The lightweight glove also features highly breathable vented mesh palm material with silicone enhanced grip.

The men’s Thrillium Jersey is constructed from lightweight quick drying polyester with ranglan sleeves to deliver a full range of motion with an optimum fit. The fully sublimated graphics are designed to stand out whilst the material features Polygine Odour Control Technology.

The Derail Shorts combine four-way stretch into heavy-knit nylon for a relaxed fit. The longer 15” inseam pairs with knee pads. The shorts have a low profile zippered side pocket for keys and valuables.

The Faye Jersey is an elevated version of an everyday cycling jersey. Ranglan sleeves and a performance scoop neck reference street wear, whilst the pinhole mesh fabric offers a natural cooling effect. The built-in four-way stretch panels also enhance ventilation.

Finally, the Cadence Shorts draw inspiration from casual board shorts to create a lightweight pedal style. The 13” inseam and four-way stretch style with DWR coating keeps the user riding for longer regardless of weather conditions.

The full Spring/ Summer 2017 collection will be available from mid-March at speciality retail stores and at Dakin’s website here.
