The new Dahon Mμ EX (pictured) targets the high end user looking for a lightweight folder adorned with the markets top components. The bike is designed light, stiff, and to be rocket fast – combining the precision and effortless shifting of the SRAM Red drive train with Dahon’s lightest folding frame. Twenty speeds, achieved via a new frame with front derailleur hanger, power Dahon’s top of the range folding bike for 2009. The price in Euros is approximately 1,999.

“With some of the highest prices ever for gasoline, people are flocking to public transportation and seeking alternate forms of transportation in greater numbers than ever,” stated Joshua Hon, Dahon vice president. “Dahon’s goal has always been to give people more personal transportation options – be it as just a folding bike, or making public transportation more accessible. More and more people are looking into folding bicycles, and we aim to have a specific bike to meet their needs.”

The company’s sales are growing by an average of 20-30per cent, per year.

Of the easily affordable models to come from Dahon, the Mμ Uno is a singlespeed bike designed with simplicity in mind. The seatpost contians an integrated Zorin PostPump and will cost 449 (in euros).
