'The partnership is an obvious one, we share the common goal of helping people take up cycling'

CyclingBuddy.com to help CTC members buddy up

National cycling charity CTC is to work with CyclingBuddy.com to promote cycling in the UK.

The partnership will see CTC’s 70,000 members get access to the CyclingBuddy platform, whilst in turn the CyclingBuddy community will gain access to some of CTC’s member benefits including local cycling groups, clubs, courses and specialist cycling insurance.

The CyclingBuddy online network is a free site that helps members ‘buddy up’ to go cycling. Members can also log their rides, map and share their favourite routes and search for cycling events.

CyclingBuddy founder Tony Piedade said: “The partnership with CTC is an obvious one; we share the common goal of helping people take up cycling and give them the social network to keep them cycling.”

CTC chief exec Gordon Seabright added: “CyclingBuddy is a great fit for us as the national cycling charity. We work hard to inspire people to cycle and getting both our members and cycling newcomers to be part of the CyclingBuddy online network is an excellent way to support people to get the most out of cycling.”
