‘Circulation Excellence’ prize granted to Future publication

Cycling Plus picks up an ACE

The annual Association of Circulation Executives Press Awards saw Future’s Cycling Plus pick up an award for “Circulation Excellence by a Smaller Magazine”.

The magazine was judged by the judges to have “demonstrated exceptional circulation strength and strategy in a strong category”.

Road cycling mag Cycling Plus saw its 10th consecutive circulation rise in 2009, up 15.8 per cent on 2008 with an audited circulation of 40,784.

“Cycling Plus showed double digit growth from both UK newsstand and subscriptions and was the driving force behind the sales progress of the cycling sector,” said James Whitaker, senior trade marketing manager.

“Emphasis was placed on promoting the entire Cycling category during the key seasonal peaks and this made Cycling Plus highly visible to potential purchasers on newsstand.”

The ACE awards recognise the work of circulation execs and others in the newstrade across regional and national newspapers, including magazines.
