Portal includes new community section, savings calculator and improved employers section

Cyclescheme launches new site

Cycle to work provide Cyclescheme has launched a brand new website, including an array of new features.

Cyclescheme said that it developed new ideas for the site from employee participants, employers who run the scheme and its network of partner stores, which have all been rolled into the new look portal – www.cyclescheme.co.uk.

The ‘Community’ section is aimed at participants and includes cycling information, news and reviews and chance to engage with colleagues. Users can forecast mileage, see how many calories they could burn and how much CO2 they can offset.

The new online savings calculator helps participants determine how much they can save and which equipment they should get hold of. Users enter their budget and the calculator does the best.

For employers Cyclescheme has cut back on the jargon and simplified the messages, with a new ‘Benefits calculator’ illustrating how much Employers National Insurance Contributions (NICs) a company can save by implementing a scheme. The section also includes FAQs, brochure and Cyclescheme videos.

A spokesperson for the firm said: "Cyclescheme is very excited about the changes made so far and are looking forward to seeing how Cyclescheme.co.uk will continue to grow and evolve throughout 2011 – be sure to check back regularly for new features as the site develops further. Engaging with audiences like never before, Cyclescheme hope their new website will ensure they remain the UK’s number one provider of tax-free bikes for the Cycle to Work scheme."
