BikeBiz Bicycle and cycling retail news
The industry has been toasting its successes at the first live BikeBiz Awards, held last night at the Cycle Show, Earls Court.
The tech-savvy cycling industry has been using Twitter to convey congratulations to the winners of the Awards.
John Herety, manager of Rapha Condor Continental Cycling Team, tweeted: “Well done to everyone @condorcycles, BikeBiz awards winners Best independent Retailer. That’s 2 in a row for Grant and his very special team.”
Condor Cycles itself celebrated the awards while cunningly advertising its stand at the show, via @Konrad Manning: “We @condorcycles, are BikeBiz award winners: Best independent Retailer (for second year running) Mr Contador will be on our stand on Friday.”
BikeRadar tweeted about picking up its Consumer Website Award – which it won for the second year in a row – while Consumer Magazine winner Singletrack wrote: “Voted best magazine 2009 by the bike industry. Spread the word. We rock!”
Charge took the time to tweet in the build up to the awards too: “On my way to The Cycle Show in London. Bike Biz awards tonight – Charge is in the finalists for "manufacturer of the year", fingers crossed.”
