Upper Street Events exhibition breaks through 25,000 visitors over four days of show (audit pending)

Cycle Show visitor numbers ‘up 30%’ YOY, says organiser

Organisers of the Cycle Show, Upper Street Events, have this morning told BikeBiz that over 25,000 passed through the exhibition’s doors over the four days of show.

Pending an audit, the early indications are that 25,058 people made the journey to the NEC, a 30 per cent rise over last year’s figures.

Upper Street Events told BikeBiz: "It was our busiest ever Cycle Show with records numbers attending, both trade and consumer, and the best ever line up of Cycling celebrities."

Dates for next year’s exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham are confirmed as 26th to 29th September, 2013.

As a side note, the pro BMX competition saw some world firsts landed and is rounded up in this video by Ride UK, here.

Lifer BMX won the well received debut ‘Shop Battle’, fending off the challenge of Notion Store in Leeds. Tom Isted and Jay Openshaw from Lifer took home the ‘ramp trophy’, seen below.

The date for next year’s Shop Battle is Thursday 26th September 2013.
