Cycle retailers targeted by new buying group

The Zood, a new targeted group buying site, is looking for cycle retailers to sign up to its new service.

Pitched as a unique, targeted, online sales opportunity for retailers, The Zood, launching this week, takes the group buying service to the cycle market.

The firm said that group buying is one of the major growth areas on the internet which until now has been focused largely on local offers and local businesses, predominantly operating in services like restaurants and health and beauty, rather than products.

By buying into The Zood.com retailers will gain from access to large, enthusiastic and directly relevant buying groups, continuous and repeat business, national marketing of business and the ability to track buying patterns and popular brands, the firm said.

Indivdual consumers using the site choose the product they’d like to buy. The site then puts them in touch with other users wanting to buy the same item. The group size then starts to grow and the Zood’s retail partners are then alerted to the group size. Retailers then put forward their best deal (not always discount) depending on the size of the group.

One thezood.com’s founders Ben Davies said: “In this time of austerity, using www.thezood.com will help mountain bikers get the best value on the products they want, in a fun and social way. Retailers will be able to sell large quantities of stock over and over again, on a daily basis!”

Over 30 retailers have signed up already. To find out more contact Max Ainscough at info@thezood.com
