Cycle Exchange has announced a new partnership with Bedford-based Flamme Rouge Cycles, further enhancing its hybrid retail model, combining online convenience with in-person experiences.

From Saturday 1, February 2025, customers have been able to access Cycle Exchange’s inventory at Flamme Rouge Bedford.

The strategic partnership further strengthens Cycle Exchange’s omnichannel approach, with this expansion adding a second physical location, complementing Cycle Exchange’s successful e-commerce platform and Kingston showroom.

Further expanding the retail footprint – for a business which blends online and brick-and-mortar as a unique means to retail “premium used bikes” – means customers can now:

  • Browse and purchase online with home delivery nationwide.
  • Visit either the Kingston or Bedford locations for test rides and expert guidance.
  • Take advantage of Flamme Rouge’s logistics network for convenient bike exchanges at their doorstep.

In sharing the news Matt Connelley, founder at Cycle Exchange, comments: “This partnership with Flamme Rouge represents a natural evolution for Cycle Exchange.

“While our e-commerce platform remains at the heart of our business, we understand that many cyclists value the option to test ride and receive expert in-person guidance. By combining Flamme Rouge‘s established presence in Bedford and their excellent logistics capabilities with our digital expertise, we are creating a truly flexible buying experience that puts customer convenience first.”

Flamme Rouge, established in 2015, has built a strong reputation as a community-focused cycling destination, complete with a popular café that serves as a social hub for local cyclists.

The collaboration brings together Cycle Exchange‘s extensive online selection of performance road bikes, gravel bikes, TT bikes, mountain bikes, and e-bikes with physical locations that enable customers to test ride before buying.

All bikes maintain Cycle Exchange’s rigorous standards of service and refurbishment, ensuring that buying used feels like buying new.
