September's public show (with that all important trade/press preview day) will be a selling show but not all products will be available from the show itself.

Cycle 2002 will not be a bike bazaar

Items that can be purchased at the show itself will include videos, books, energy drinks/food bars, maps, plans, insurance, subscriptions, coaching advice, and official CYCLE 2002 merchandise.

There will be no sales allowed of productts under the general category of "bicycles, bicycle components, accessories and clothing."

Show organiser Michael Bennett said this was because "all of these are available through the normal distribution channels.

"The show is designed to provide all those with an interest in cycling with the largest shop window in the UK rather than a retail shopping environment."
