Merry: "Both small and large accounts are making their way to Poole, we're very pleased so far."

CSG debut show in full swing

Cycling Sports Group’s debut trade show is currently in full swing at the distributor’s Poole HQ and the firm’s joint-MD Russell Merry is reporting high footfall.

"Our brand managers are telling me they”re seeing quite a diverse line up, with both larger firms and smaller independent stores kindly making the journey to our Poole distribution centre."

The entire 2011 Cannondale line is on show for the first time, as is the GT, Mongoose, Charge, Summer and WeThePeople lines. Two smaller BMX related brands from the minds behind WeThePeople have also emerged at the show.

Radio bicycles joins the BMX stock as a budget range to "tackle the areas WeThePeople can’t reach, namely the £229 to £350 complete BMX territory.

Almond Footwear also displayed four early samples of what’s to come, including one signature shoe from pro BMX rider Jared Washington.

Look out for the full event report in September’s BikeBiz.
