Crankbrothers has appointed Gaspare Licata as Vice President of sales and marketing.
Licata joins from fi’zi:k and the Selle Royal Group and will be based in Crank Brothers’ main office in Laguna Beach, California.
“Gaspare has a fantastic track record, growing one of the best loved brands in cycling, fi’zi:k. His appointment comes following impressive growth and as we look to position Crank Brothers as one of the most innovative brands in the sport,” says Andy Palmer, Crank Brothers CEO. “He’s a great addition to the executive team as we look to expand our business and brand reach over the next three to five years.”
On joining Crank Brothers, Licata says, “Working in the Selle Royal Group since 2009, I had the chance to get to know crankbrothers and really fell in love with the brand and the direction they’re taking. They have consistently demonstrated a magical ability to design mountain bike products that make each ride better than the last. I’m looking forward to all the learning opportunities to come and am honored to be part of the future growth and success of the company."
On his new role, Licata added: “With the changes it’s making, Crank Brothers is ready to thrill the mountain bike community once again. We have focused our energies on building a fresh and dynamic world-class team and are engineering innovative, high-quality new products that will launch over the next 12 to 36 months. It’s an extremely exciting time for the brand.”
Licata leaves his position as business director for fi’zi:k. He will remain in his position as the General Manager of the Selle Royal Group in North America, overseeing Brooks England, fi’zi:k, crankbrothers, and Selle Royal.
