From 6th March 2026, Cotic’s are on display at 18 Bikes in Hope, Derbyshire, with a demo bike to ride and Peak District trails on the doorstep. There’s a new Dealer Collection option for customers too.

The News

Cotic has always been a direct to rider brand. But on Friday, the brand announced that they are “taking a step that we’re really excited about: We’re back in a bike shop.”

From 6th March, 18 Bikes in Hope, Derbyshire are carrying Cotic frames on display, and have one of the brand’s demo bikes available for riders to get out on the trails. And those trails, right on the doorstep of the shop in the heart of the Peak District, are some of the best in the country. As of this week, they have a Solaris – the flagship Reynolds 853 steel hardtail – on display, plus a Rocket eMTB in C3 size available to demo.

The demo bike is part of Cotic’s fleet, so with a bit of notice, the brand can rotate in different models and sizes to suit whoever’s coming to ride.

Cotic says: “Aside from it being great to be working with Si and Matt and the 18 Bikes team again, the advantages for us are in how much more easily riders can get to look at, and knowledgeably chat about, Cotic bikes.”

18 Bikes are open every weekend, and late Thursdays, which expands our current Cotic Showroom/demo hours of Monday to Friday and our occasional Super Saturday demo events.

There’s also a change in how Cotic handles orders. When you buy a Cotic, you’ve always been able to get it shipped directly, or come to the HQ for a Factory Collection where you are set up properly on the bike before you head out.

Now there’s a third option: Dealer Collection. Order directly from Cotic, have your bike delivered to 18 Bikes, and the guys there will get you perfectly set up on your new machine, all on a weekend or evening or location that suits you.

A Bit of Background

Cotic and 18 Bikes go back a long way, and when Si and Matt got in touch at the end of last year to see if there was a way to work together again, we were immediately up for it. What they’ve landed on is built around one thing: Getting bikes in front of riders on great trails, without the stock pressure and unrealistic targets that make traditional dealer relationships so painful for everyone. Simple as that.

In Their Own Words

Cy Turner, Founder, Cotic Bikes:

“It’s great to be working with Si and Matt again. There are riders out there who like what Cotic do but want more chances to see and feel and ride the bikes before they buy. This gives them that, on some brilliant trails, every weekend. Like any new way of working, we’ll tune it as we go — but doing that with old friends is the best possible way to get something like this right.”

Si Bowns, Co-Founder of 18 Bikes:

“We’re chuffed to pick things back up with Cotic – local folks doing great things with great bikes!  It’s been fantastic to follow their progress over the years and we’re excited to get some more steel bikes in front of riders!

We see the Cotic range slotting really nicely into what we do at 18 – whether that’s one of their hardtails, gravel bikes or the unique Rocket EBike.  We can add our little extras, source alternative component brands for builds, fit ride Wrap or Invisiframe – all with the convenience and service of a proper local bike shop.  Exciting times!”
