Copenhagen bike shop accused of selling stolen bikes

According to a story on the local.dk (via road.cc), the owner of a Copenhagen bike shop could face up to six years in prison.

Somewhere between 250 and 400 stolen bicycles were found in the shop. The vast collection was a mixture of high end and value bikes and suspicions were first raised when a man saw his own stolen bike for sale in the store.

Copenhagen is, of course, a hotbed of cycle action (as well as bike theft), and was recently listed as the world’s best city for cycling.
