London Bike Show appoints PaceUp Media as communications agency

The London Bike Show has appointed PaceUp Media as its communications agency.

The agency will provide a full communications strategy and delivery service, covering PR, social media and creative content to the show which returns to London’s ExCel from 29th to 31st March.

The deal with PaceUp Media, which also includes the adjoined Triathlon Show: London, covers the 2019 and 2020 editions, with 2019 being the first since owner Newtimber Media purchased the event.

Tom Copeland, PaceUp Media director, said: “We’re really excited to be working with the London Bike Show and Triathlon Show: London at such an exciting time.

“It was clear from the outset that the team at Newtimber is dedicated to reimagining what a sports trade show looks like by focussing on providing both the exhibitor and the public a better platform to interact, be entertained and celebrate their chosen sports.

“Newtimber’s decision to partner with PaceUp Media further solidifies our relatively recent decision to create a new sports media agency to service cycling and adventure sports.”

Frazer Clifford, managing director of Newtimber Media, said: "Having been part of the team which launched the London Bike Show, in a purely commercial role, it’s a great feeling to fully take the reins and allow my personal passion for the sport to help deliver something that I’d pay money to attend.

“It’s amazing to have such a strong community of visitors – a benefit of being positioned in a city where we are seeing more cyclists on the road than ever before.

“The London Bike Show and Triathlon Show: London is committed to creating the kind of environment which benefits exhibitors, boosting brand awareness and sales whilst also putting on an engaging and entertaining show for triathletes and cyclists of all disciplines.

“Newtimber is relishing the opportunity to work with the experts at PaceUp Media to grow the London Bike Show to a new level of success and restore faith in UK cycling exhibitions.”
