Chicken CycleKit snaps up Dedacciai

Italian firm Dedacciai – split between ‘Strada’ (frame modules and framesets) and ‘Elementi’ (components) – has appointed Chicken CycleKit as the UK distributor for its two divisions.

Explaining how his firm became involved with the manufacturer, Cedric Chicken told BikeBiz: "We’ve known of the brand for a while now, though Dedacciai’s frame development has come on in absolute leaps and bounds in recent years, especially with the introduction of hydroforming processes. They’re doing many unique things."

Landing in the Leighton Buzzard warehouse as early as December, the components catalogue will cover handlebars, stems, bar tape, a crank and many other accessories. The Strada side of the business is to cover framesets and modules with packages to be available to dealers from early January.

Ten models are to be available with four carbon monocoque builds, one titanium and the remainder a mix of steel and aluminium. Chicken added: "There will be builds suited to time trial, cyclocross, road, track and triathlon."

The distributor has also confirmed that it will be exhibiting at the consumer-facing London Bike Show at ExCeL from January 13th to 16th.
