Ruption Limited, the company name for Split Second Imports, has told BikeBiz that Chain Reaction Cycles has purchased the entire share capital of the business.
MD Robert Hill told us this morning: "The main points to be noted are that there will be no changes to the way the brands are distributed. The team at Cheddar are staying and are dedicated to providing the dealer with a strong level of service in both supply, marketing and information. We will be ensuring continuity of stocks to all dealers and continuing the growth of both the brands we distribute and Ruption Ltd as a U.K. distributor of quality BMX bikes and accessories.
"Ruption Ltd will continue to trade from our Cheddar premises and all telephone numbers and email address’s remain the same.
"The main benefit Ruption Ltd will gain from this deal is extra financial support for product investmen which should lead to greater stock levels and improved pricing for the dealer, plus significant support in growing international business for our house brands Blank and Ruption.

The distributor has just this week gone live with its business to business website.
