Products from Carradice of Nelson Ltd, the maker of traditional and modern British bike bags, will be distributed in the US by Magnolia Cycle Supply, LLC, of New Orleans, Louisiana. Magnolia was formed by long-time Carradice dealer Bill Laine, of Wallingford Bicycle Parts.

Carradice signs with US distributor

Carradice exhibited at the Interbike show in Las Vegas last October. David Chadwick of Carradice was seeking US distribution and was encouraged by the number of US bike shop staff that expressed interest in Carradice product.

"We met a lot of people who were very interested in our bags but didn’t want to do their own importing for small quantities", said Chadwick.

Chadwick proposed a distribution arrangement to Bill Laine, of Wallingford Bicycle Parts, a fan of British bicycles.

Laine created Magnolia Cycle Supply, LLC in order to wholesale the Carradice line.

"I like the products and I deal with American Carradice enthusiasts every day. I know the market is there and I think wider availability will be good for Carradice, good for American cyclists, and good for myself," said Laine, who is open to other offers of US distribution rights.
