Carol Freeman slides off to the US

…to do a six month placement in evolutionary anthropology at the University of California in Santa Barbara.

She isnt turning her back on UK cycling:

Santa Barbara has a wonderful network of cycle paths. Im in touch with cycle campaigners there and there is much interest in Safe Routes to School and the National Cycle Network so I will be taking the inevitable Sustrans slide set to spread the word to the locals!

Freeman has been with Sustrans for eight years. Her successor is Tim Snowdon.
