Carlton Reid shortlisted as transport writer of the year in Press Gazette awards

BikeBiz editor-at-large Carlton Reid has been shortlisted as transport writer of the year in Press Gazette‘s British Journalism Awards for Specialist Media.

Writers from the Sunday Times, the BMJ, and New Scientist have been nominated in other categories. Jeremy Clarkson was shortlisted in the motoring category. The transport category is sponsored by Uber, and shortlisted writers include Will Dalrymple from Transport Engineer, Tom Richmond from the Yorkshire Post and Steve Dale and Mike Walter of Transportation Professional.

Press Gazette editor-in-chief and chairman of judges Dominic Ponsford said: “Judging these awards provided a great reminder of the richness and diversity of Britain’s journalism industry when it comes to the business and specialist sectors.

“There was ample evidence of innovation, investigation and revelation by journalists who clearly know and care deeply about their various patches."

The winners will be announced at Stationers’ Hall, London, on 17th September.
