Canyon confirms support for ex-Bike Channel UCI team

Canyon has confirmed its continued sponsorship of the British-based UCI Continental road race team Canyon Eisberg – a team which until recently was known as Bike Channel Canyon until the demise of the cycling network.

The team debuted with a third place and two jerseys at the Tour de Yorkshire; it celebrated two individual wins and one round victory at the Tour Series, second in the Grand Prix Series and third in the national Circuit Series.

Team owner Tim Elverson has confirmed that it will retain the majority of riders from the 2017 squad. He commented: “We are grateful for the continued support from Canyon in 2018. Being able to offer the riders the opportunity to battle on Canyon’s latest innovations is hugely valuable in helping the squad to excel.”

Canyon will equip the team with new Aeroad SLX and Ultimate CF SLX framesets which will be paired with Shimano groupsets and ROTOR chainsets with power meters. Custom-painted team edition bikes will be unveiled later this month.
