Team director Matt Jewett is confident he'll be able to land a new sponsor for the SoBe/Cannondale mountain bike squad, following SoBe's decision not renew its sponsorship of the pro-am team for 2004.

Cannondale seek new sponsor for US SoBe/Cannondale team

"I’m very optimistic that we’ll be able to line up a new co-sponsor," said Jewett.

"It certainly helps that we’re coming off the team’s best season ever. We sent six riders to the 2003 World

Championships, and we scored our first-ever #1 NORBA team ranking this year."

Mike Joyce, SoBe’s director of integrated marketing, said:

"We’ve shared a fantastic relationship with Cannondale over the past five years, and would be hard-pressed to find a more perfect marketing partner. We’re huge fans of the Cannondale program, and consider the team part of SoBe’s extended family."

"SoBe as a brand accomplished what we set out to do – which was to encourage the healthy, active lifestyle that mountain bikers celebrate. We thank the company and its riders for its tremendous support of SoBe, and believe they have helped to make our brand what it is today."
