Cyclists get in on the London Fashion Week action for I Bike Cambridge exhibition

Cambridge students combine bicycles, fashion and art

Bicycles, art and fashion are coming together for I Bike Cambridge this month in an exhibition at Cambridge Central Library.

From Tuesday September 14th to Sunday 19th – coinciding with London Fashion Week – students will exhibit their take on cycle style with photographic art, poster design and customised bicycles. The exhibition will also see the launch of Glo Glo reflective accessories designed by the Netherall Sixth Form College’s award winning young enterprise group, Solar Eclipse.

London-based artists and designers worked with pupils from CSVPA, Impington Village College and the Netherall Sixth Form College as part of I Bike Cambridge to encourage young women to take to two wheels via a series of design briefs. That work, which took place in the summer, will be celebrated in a short film.

Renata Grant from CSVPA said: "The opportunity to have our students work featured around Cambridge was great! I am really pleased with how the project went and I hope that I Bike Cambridge will run a similar project again for next year."
