Cambridge Cycling Campaign adds second staffer

The Cambridge Cycling Campaign has appointed Anna Williams as communications and community officer, a newly created role. Williams joins executive director Roxanne De Beaux as Camcycle’s second employee.

De Beaux, hired in 2015, said: “We intend to improve our proactive campaigning efforts, increase our membership and encourage more volunteers and Anna’s role will be essential for these activities."

"The demand for our advice and representation continues to increase as Cambridge encounters more and more transportation issues related to ongoing development."

Williams has worked in the commercial and charitable sectors and experienced working with volunteers in local environmental organisations. She has been a member of the campaign for over 15 years and has several years’ experience working on volunteer projects with the charity including writing and design for the monthly magazine, the organisation’s main campaigning tool.

She said: “As a keen everyday cyclist and mother of three, I love Cambridge’s unique cycling culture, but am aware there is still a lot of work to be done to make cycling facilities better for all ages and abilities."

Camcycle was founded in 1995.
