Brompton launches black edition and links with RideLondon

The tenth edition of the Brompton World Championship will take place as part of the growing Prudential RideLondon event.

Taking place on Saturday August 1st, the quirky competition will run over a world famous circuit that starts on the Mall and takes in Horseguards Parade and Buckingham Palace.

There are 575 spaces available for the ride, with registration closing on Tuesday April 7th.

The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 saw a record number of cyclists apply to take part earlier this year, with 86,001 vying for a place.

The news follows the launch of a black edition of the famous folder. A number of key components will be in black rather than the usual silver, and have been developed after years of interest in the possibility of an all-black Brompton.

The Black Edition is available to order in models S, M and H Types, 2 and 6 speed gear options. The extremities will be black, with mainframe options being Black, White, Berry Crush, Lime Green and Lagoon Blue. It is a special edition, with 5,000 being made.
