Retül of the US has signed a two-year deal to become British Cycling’s official bike fit system supplier. Retül was founded in 2007 and uses sensors to map a rider’s position in 3D.
Retül will work with British Cycling’s medical team to ensure riders’ bikes are set up to ensure maximum performance and minimise the risk of injury. (Chris Froome’s bike position could be a interesting challenge…)
British Cycling’s Lead Physiotherapist, Phil Burt, said:
“Retül’s ethos is all about dynamic bike fit, recording data whilst the rider is in motion and so their bike fitting system is the most comprehensive yet and incredibly accurate. In the right hands this equipment is a powerful tool."
Retül’s co-founder, Todd Carver, said:
“British Cycling is widely considered the world’s premiere cycling national governing body. It is an honour for Retül to be a part of the future success of their riders – particularly at World Championship, Olympic and Paralympic level – and the opportunity to work with staff at British Cycling is invaluable in terms of always improving upon our processess.”
