British Cycling has announced that Love Velo will be its new official travel partner.
The union was officially launched today, at the home of the Great British Cycling Team, the Manchester National Cycling Centre. 16 competition winners were invited to try out the velodrome and BMX track at the event.
Lee Bibring, managing director of Love Velo, said: “We are delighted to have partnered with British Cycling. We have a very similar ethos to British Cycling, as we want to grow the number of people who cycle as much as possible.
“We want to continue to break down the barriers to cycling, encourage people to spend more time with each other pursuing a healthy active lifestyle, and inspire experienced cyclists with exciting and varied challenges across the world.”
Love Velo offers a wide range of cycling holidays ranging from trips for those who are new to cycling to more challenging holidays tailored to experienced riders.
British Cycling chief operating officer, Jamie Obank, said: “We are really pleased to welcome Love Velo on board as our new official travel partner. British Cycling is passionate about getting more people riding bikes regularly, which is shared by Love Velo; the partnership is a natural fit. We look forward to working with them over the coming years.”
