British Cycling announces four-year deal with Kalas

British Cycling has confirmed a partnership with the Czech custom cycle wear expert Kalas, who will act as the official clothing suppliers of the Great Britain Cycling Team for the next four years.

The partnership will commence as of January 1st 2017, and will see the company supply on and off-bike clothing for all riders and staff attached to the team.

British Cycling’s chief operating officer, Jamie Obank, said: “We began our search for a new clothing supplier with one clear aim: to ensure that the Great Britain Cycling Team can continue to perform at the highest level.

“With this in mind, we sought a company which could provide cost-effective, high-quality and innovative clothing, as well as being able to respond to the changing requirements of our athletes and the team.

“In addition to being able to deliver on all of our primary objectives, Kalas will help consolidate British Cycling’s reputation of being at the forefront of elite cycling across all disciplines. Both parties are excited about working together to produce the next generation of performance race-wear through our unique collaboration.”

Kalas director and co-owner, Jakub Věncek, added: “This is a proud moment in the history of our company. We are honoured to be chosen by British Cycling ahead of more famous companies.

“It is a unique and exciting partnership for us both and we are fully committed to developing new products with British Cycling, as well as a fresh new Great Britain Cycling Team-inspired range for the fans. We look forward to revealing the new Great Britain Cycling Team kit design in January, and we are confident that it is going to be very popular with the fans."
