Show organiser Michael McGettigan owns Trophy Bikes, a Philadelphia bike shop that loves everything British.
McGettigan organises ‘Brit Bike Pub Flits’, rides where it’s "British-made bikes only, please," and the ‘Great British Bike Weekend’. But his latest project is The Round*Up USA, the small-wheel and folding-bike fest.
Micro bikes from around the globe will be at the public show, staged at or near Trophy Bikes.
Birdy-maker Riese und Muller of Germany will have the new Bichette at the show, but will R&M’s representatives mention that war-in-Iraq-based boycott of American components?
Edward Donald, Brompton’s marketing manager, will be at the show with a selection of bikes.
Also making appearances will be the fat-tyred Burrobikes, as loved by visitors to last year’s Outdoor Demo before the Interbike trade show.
There are also bikes from Airframe, Airnimal, Montague, Swift Folder, Moulton and Slingshot.
Dahon will be exhibiting a prototype of its new Helios XX, a 17lb high performance folder with Rolf’s new 20-inch wheels and Shimano’s small-wheel specific Capreo groupset.
