Niner, Zoot, Guru and others pay testament to the continued appeal of the US cycle show

Brands to return for ‘biggest Interbike yet’

Interbike has listed a number of brands returning to exhibit at the show for the first time in years, including Niner, Zoot Sports, Fox Head, Spy, Envy Composites, Guru and more.

Other key companies are returning too, and will be announced soon, said the show organiser.

Over 150 new exhibitors have signed up for 2012 event, many of which will be showcased in the show’s new area called ‘The LAB’, featuring well-known brands as well as new smaller companies looking to leave an impression on attendees. Highlighting the list of new exhibiting brands is Opus Bicycles out of Canada, Teva, Inertia Racing Technology (IRT) and Kappius Components.

Earlier this month Interbike revealed it was moving location for 2013.

“At Niner we are very careful about selecting the right marketing events that best fit our company’s growth strategy," said Niner’s COO Mike Gann. "We’ve got a ton of innovation in the pipeline for 2013 and the energized atmosphere of Interbike makes it an ideal event for sharing these new products with our North American dealers as well as the media. Last year was tricky for us to coordinate logistics with Eurobike and Interbike being so close together. This year’s dates made our decision to come back kind of a no-brainer.”

Other brands – including Easton Bell Sports, Electra, Specialized, Shimano, Serfas, and Highway 2 – have all increased their space commitments at the show to support new initiatives and create more connectivity with attendees.

Selle Royal Group’s Andrew Herrick commented: “We’ve increased our footprint on the show floor this year by almost 30 per cent because Highway 2 has so much new product we’re rolling out and we need more room to meet with our most important customers. We found that last year’s booth, which we thought was large enough, was too small to comfortably welcome all of our dealer and international guests. We have one real shot per year to welcome the dealers into our world and share with them our vision for the coming season and Interbike is it.

"Furthermore we will continue our VIP tent at the Outdoor Demo and fizik and crankbrothers will have a strong presence there as always."

Interbike MD Pat Hus added: “2012 is shaping up to be the biggest Interbike show we’ve ever had. We have already well-exceeded last year’s show and we are on our way to our biggest footprint in years. I think it has a lot to do with the excitement we started last year, but clearly it is a reflection of how healthy our industry is right now. Not only are we getting great brands back and majors taking on more, but we are also seeing more new companies coming to the show for the first time in 2012.”
