Bosch eBike Systems has launched a new service called ‘Certified by Bosch’ in the following countries:
- Austria
- France
- Germany
- Italy
- Netherlands
- Spain
- Switzerland
Bosch says the new digital certification program is designed to increase trust and transparency in the second-hand eBike market.
The digital certificate applies to eBikes with the smart system and displays the condition of the battery and drive unit using an intuitive star-based rating. It includes details such as battery charge cycles, remaining capacity, distance travelled, and power used.

The certificate confirms the eBike has not been reported as stolen in the eBike Flow app, shows important model information, and verifies that there are no indications of tuning. Authenticity can be checked online via a QR code.
Refurbishment specialist Rebike is the first partner, offering certified eBikes starting in July 2026 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, and the Netherlands, with plans to expand to other European markets. From the beginning of 2027, Bosch will also extend the program to support specialist bicycle retailers in selling pre-owned models.
