The latest update to Bosch eBike Systems’ eBike Flow app includes numerous new features, enabling an even more personalised riding experience.

Additional display customisation and navigation options have been provided in the update to version 1.30, as well as faster support, whilst other enhancements announced this summer are also now available.

Just one such example: eBikers with the Performance Line SX drive system can now benefit from higher performance values and the eMTB+ riding mode. Bosch eBike Systems has also expanded its eShift portfolio to include more features and gear shifting systems.

Customisable displays

On demanding rides, eBikers want instant access to key performance data. With the Kiox 400C display, they now have more flexibility than ever before, with the ability to choose easily from over 30 customisation options.

The display’s tile layout has also become even more personalised. With the version 1.30 update, nine additional configurations have been added to the eBike Flow app.

The Kiox 300, 400C, and 500 selection options now range from a clearly focused single-value display to a comprehensive overview featuring multiple sets of ride data. This means users can customise their screens just the way they like them, delivering optimal information on every ride.

Follow the original route

When rider plan or import a route from platforms such as Komoot, they often want to ride it exactly as it was originally planned or recommended. The new “Follow original route” feature makes this possible. Riders can now follow planned routes without automatic detours, even on unfamiliar trails.

  • The updated display only shows the route line, without voice-based navigation or turn-by-turn directions.
  • The feature can be enabled via the “Follow original route” button in the settings of any imported route.
  • Before a ride begins, a message may also appear, indicating that some sections may be difficult to navigate.

New features and updates in the eShift portfolio

Whether you’re taking a relaxed city ride or pushing the pace on a demanding off-road segment, Bosch eBike Systems’ eShift electric gear shifting solution seamlessly integrates third-party gear shifting systems into the smart system, significantly boosting comfort, whether using manual or automatic gear shifting.

The update makes numerous features announced at Eurobike 2025 available to use, including optimised software for automatic gear shifting with eShift, the M+ feature, and additional compatible gear shifting solutions from Shimano. There are also new options for Rohloff E-14m users, who can now effortlessly choose
between manual and automatic gear shifting.

Power update and new eMTB+ riding mode for Performance Line SX

With the V1.30 update, the Performance Line SX’s drive unit now delivers 60 newton metres of torque (instead of the previous 55), 600 watts of power, and 400 percent support (instead of the previous 340). Owners can now decide whether they want to retain the default values, or customise them to meet their needs, by using the eBike Flow app.

The eMTB+ mode, announced in spring, designed to offer “a finely balanced blend of power and control, even on challenging terrain”, will also be available with this Performance Line SX update.
