Launched 4 years ago, Boost Bikes has made strides in establishing itself as a manufacturer and supplier of “safe, easy-to-fit, and reliable e-bike conversion kit”.
With ambitious 2025 growth plans, Matt Dowler, previously of Boardman Bikes, Halfords and Lotus has joined the team as Chief Marketing Officer.
In sharing the news, Nick Bailey, CEO of Boost Bikes commented: “I’m delighted to formally announce Matt is joining us as CMO, he brings a wealth of bike industry experience across brand, marketing and product and will be instrumental in helping us cement Boost as the go-to provider of safe, simple e-bike conversion kits in 2025.
“Boost has bucked the industry trend in 2024 with a successful year, showing there is strong demand from customers wanting to electrify their existing bikes, and we’re aiming to help many more people discover riding more with a safe electric “Boost” in the coming year.”
Talking about the motivation to join the team at Boost, Dowler said: “As demand for active travel increases, and interest in re-use and upcycling grows, I’m fascinated by being able to convert almost any manual bike into an electric one with a safe, affordable kit.”
Discussing the product, and its impact, Dowler further comments: “The Boost kits for full-sized bikes and Brompton are a spectacular showcase of British engineering – they’re so simple to fit, and ride like a premium e-bike, all for a fraction of the cost of buying a completely new bike.
“Research has suggested around 7 million used bikes are sitting in garages across the country, so getting people to rediscover cycling whilst making use of existing resources is a very exciting proposition”.
