Lacing system eliminates pressure points and 'hot spots'

Boa cable system exclusive to Lake and Specialized shoes

BOA has announced that it is only to license its ‘micro-cable’ closure system to shoe manufacturers Lake and all-round bicycle gear maker Specialized.

BOA’s micro-cable closure system provides a fine-tuneable, evenly-distributed closure that eliminates pressure points and hot spots. The system is to be used throughout the Lake range going forwards.

Moore Large’s sales director Dale Smith said of the manufacturer’s announcement: “Lake has a reputation of offering technically advanced products, be that with their choice of materials, their design or in the construction of their shoes. For BOA to close the door on other cycling shoe manufacturers is testament to that and will I’m sure cement Lake’s position as a leading brand in the supply of performance cycling footwear.”

“Lake Cycling is the only cycling shoe company to offer a complete range of the BOA Closure Systems within their 2010 cycling collection, available from Moore Large, our exclusive UK distributor,” says Josh Greenberg, international sales director for Lake Cycling.
