NEC Cycle Show-set competition returns for 2013, with £1,000 and free advertising up for grabs

BMX Shop Battle calls for entries

The Ride UK-sponsored BMX Shop Battle is back at Cycle Show for a second year and BMX shops are now being asked to register their interest.

At the comp, shops will compete for £1,000 in prize money (courtesy of Red Bull Flow) and a year of online advertising on Ride UK BMX, as well as a spot in the pro contests happening over the rest of the Cycle Show duration September 26th to 29th. The battle takes place on the trade day – Thursday Sept 26th.

30 shops entered the Battle last year with Lifer BMX in Tavistock winning and Leeds’ Notion grabbing second place.

The contest course will be a split park and street course built by 4one4 with heats of two flow riders from each store against other BMX shops in a knock-out format. There are spaces for 36 shops with practice commencing at 9.00am and the contest scheduled to end at 6.00pm.
