bikeZaar strengthens marketing team with Clay appointment

bikeZaar, the online marketplace platform for cyclists and triathletes, has appointed Joanne Clay to its in-house marketing team.

Clay has taken to the podium at several National XC rounds and has medalled in the National Hill Climb Champions twice. She also has industry experience having worked in the distribution and online retail space for a number of years.

Her role will be focused on digital marketing activities, whilst also supporting bikeZaar’s seller community, ranging from small shops to large retailers and some of the industry’s leading brands. She will also support the introduction of new products and services for sellers, helping them to utilise the features of the platform to grow sales, providing insights and advice.

“I am really excited to join bikeZaar,” said Clay. “It’s different in many ways to traditional e-commerce and I love the fact that we are generating new business for bike shops and opening up new opportunities in many ways. My role will be to support the shops, helping them to get the most out of the platform whilst also generating awareness and site traffic.”

Kevin Griffiths, founder and CEO of bikeZaar, said: “We are delighted to welcome Jo to the team. She has a real passion for all things on two wheels which, combined with her industry knowledge and experience, will help us to manage our growth and drive the business forward.”
