Liz Clarke picks up Outstanding Women in Business 2014 prize

BikeRight! MD scoops E3 Business Award

BikeRight! MD Liz Clarke won an Outstanding Women In Business award at the E3 Awards, held at the home of Bolton Wanderers Football Club, the Macron Stadium.

In the last five years, Clarke has transformed BikeRight! into a profitable national company operating in five locations, providing cycle training, Bikeability, bike maintenance training and more recently driver education courses.

Clarke said "This is a testament to the whole team at BikeRight!. We are successful because we are passionate about what we do and I think that comes across when we deliver our training.

“It’s a great honour to be given this E3 Award as it shows recognition not only for myself but for BikeRight! within the wider business community in the North West. It comes at a time when we are moving in to new areas of work with our programme of safe urban driving and 2WheelsAware courses – exciting times ahead!”

Speaking on behalf of 1 Events Media, which conceived and hosted the awards, managing director Mubarak Chati said: “BikeRight! can be very proud of its business achievements this year and, of course, for winning the award itself. In a year in which we received a record number of nominations, the standard of entries was exceptionally high so to win this category proves that the company and its staff have done something very special indeed.

"The judges have been impressed by many different businesses this year. I’ve spoken to a number of them who’ve said how encouraged they were to see North West companies with so much vision, talent and determination to succeed. That certainly applies to Liz and her team and I congratulate them – not only for the win but for making a positive contribution to the growth of the region’s economy."
