As the countdown to Future’s ambitious BikeRadar Live event continues, the publishing giant has announced a trio of key partnership deals.
Taking place at Donington Park on the weekend of May 30th and 31st, BikeRadar Live will boast support from Whyte Bikes, Scott Sports and audio company Pioneer.
Whyte Bikes will create the Whyte Night endurance mountain biking action. The four-hour and 12-hour races will be held on a 5km purpose-built trail designed by four-time national mountain bike champion Will Longden. They will start at 8pm on the Saturday, with a share of a £5,000 prize purse up for grabs, and the chance to win a special prize of a £2,900 Whyte Bikes E-120 XT mountain bike.
Whyte Bikes’ brand manager Justin Stevenson said: "I am thrilled to be involved with such an exciting event. It’s going to be a fantastic and challenging night-time race, as part of a great cycling festival, and is a great platform to raise the profile of Whyte. We’ll also be supporting the Whyte Night race with our Whyte race team."
Off the track, leading bike brand Scott Sports and audio company Pioneer have teamed up to create the Scott Sunset DJ sessions. This will add an extra musical dimension to the cycling festival and will host some top name DJs as the sun sets on the show on Friday and Saturday evening.
BikeRadar Live organiser Grant Norris offered: "I can’t think of any companies better suited to kicking off our BikeRadar Live partnership announcement. Each of them brings huge expertise to what will be the UK’s biggest cycling event. We’re hoping to create a real festival atmosphere, celebrating the best of all things bike-related."
