Bikelab enlists BM7 to kit out new Richmond bike shop

BM7 Displays’ custom branded bike and frame displays have been installed in the new Bikelab bike shop, opened last month.

Set in Richmond, Greater London, the new flagship Bikelab store is sister shop of Bikelab in Poole, Dorset, established by Clive Gosling in 2001.

The new store incorporates Trio three bike display units, Due two bike display and Transformer Pro Stand branded covers.

Bikelab MD Clive Gosling said: “When we opened the Poole shop nearly ten years ago we really wanted to make bikes stand out by displaying each one individually and achieved that with what was available at that time.

"However the BM7 stands we have used for the new Richmond shop take the display of the bikes to a whole new level and we are extremely impressed not only with the result but with BM7’s quality of manufacturing and personal attention to the project.”

The BM7 Trio is an integrated floor stand designed to hold three bikes securely via the back wheel. The base is custom printed, while the bikes are presented standing upright and can be easily removed for demonstration on the shop floor. The retaining post holding the bikes has an optional locking loop that can be used to padlock the bike to the display.

Both the Trio and Duo displays used at Bikelab Richmond have been configured to display mountain bikes. The single road post that comes as standard to Hero, Trio, Duo and Quattro systems have been replaced with MTB posts that can be adjusted to accommodate varying MTB tyre widths. The Bikelab set up of some systems utilise a wider spacing between the wheel guides on the centre line of each adjacent deck to handle the wider width handlebars used by some MTBs, BM7 tells BikeBiz. This is a standard option on the lower deck mountings of BM7 units.

The BM7 Hero, Due and Trio Systems can be used for road, track, fixie or mountain bikes, mounted on the stand system and held by wheel posts that have a security ring that can be locked and enable the bike to be rmoved quickly for customer demos. They can be customised with branding, logos and colour coding.
