BikeFlights.com, a bicycle shipping service for cyclists, celebrated a major milestone this month: its 100,000th order.
BikeFlights.com’s Owner William Alcorn, who founded the company in 2009 said: "We’re happy to have served over 100,000 cyclists of all types – it’s an important milestone. We’re excited to continue our rapid growth in a sustainable way while maintaining our consistently high customer service ratings.
“We’ve always had a wide customer base – from first timers through Olympians and including individuals, bike shops, small manufacturers and online sellers,” he said. “We took the time to design our service so that it works for lots of people – now we’re seeing those efforts pay off, and growth is naturally following.”
In celebration of the milestone, BikeFlights.com is throwing a pizza party at the Broken Spoke bike shop in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mike Chapman, who has been using BikeFlights.com’s service for the past five years, unknowingly placed what was BikeFlights.com’s 100,000th order for shipping.
“BikeFlights.com has allowed us to be profitable in packaging and shipping bikes as a service to our customers,” said Chapman after hearing the news. “Thanks for the pizza and doing what you do! I’m looking forward to many more years of collaboration.
