News exclusives bring bike trade site its highest readership yet

BikeBiz Online reaches new traffic high

Last year saw UK cycle industry website BikeBiz.com beat its own traffic record twice, but this year the site has surpassed all previous numbers, according to Google Analytics.

Narrowly missing out on 100,000 uniques, April 2013 saw the site attract 96,926 unique users, beating last year’s then-all-time record of 91,506 unique visitors (in July 2012).

Page views in April totalled 357,628 (up from July 2012’s 250,111).

Key drivers of the traffic growth included news exclusives – like the Government proposing an ‘Office for Active Travel’ and the sale of Rouleur to Gruppo Media – to hot button topics like road rage against cyclists. As ever, the BikeBiz Jobs board also proved a key draw to the site.

Those who register to BikeBiz.com can receive a daily newsletter in email form, as well as occasional newsflashes for when the most important news stories break.

BikeBiz is also growing fast across social networks, on Twitter, on LinkedIn and on Facebook.
