Over 200 members of the bicycle industry gathered to celebrate the high achievers of the year at the 2013 BikeBiz Awards tonight (Wednesday Sept 25th).
Eighteen awards were given out to retailers, distributors, brands, media and more on the night, which took place at the NEC’s Hilton Metropole Hotel.
As well as squeezing in 200 members of the trade, British Cycling paraphernalia – including a jersey signed by Becky James and Jason Kenny – plus vintage bicycles from the National Cycle Museum were on show on the night.
IBDs and chains both won out in the retailer categories, with Rutland Cycling, 18 Bikes and Cycle Surgery picking up awards.
The distribution honours were shared out between Upgrade Bikes, Madison, Silverfish and Seventies.
The Media awards were won by new magazine Cyclist, Singletrackworld and ITV Cycling, while road.cc scored the Social Media honours.
The hotly contested Bike and P&A Brand awards were won by Kinesis UK and Hope respectively.
Cyclescheme and Cyclefit also secured awards, while Sky Ride won the Advocacy prize for the second year in a row.
Ansmann UK is backing the BikeBiz Awards 2013 as Platinum Partner. Event Partners are Suarez, JVC and Cycle-S.O.S. This year Competition Partner is Cycleguard and ISPO is Retail Partner for the Awards.
