As part of Bike Week, Trek Bicycles staff is running a week-long programme of cycling events to raise money for FreeWheelers charity.
The Milton Keynes-based cycle manufacturer will put on lunchtime rides, special ‘Ride to Work’ days, a Father’s Day road ride on Sunday June 21st and a family bike ride between two lakes in the town, ending at Willen Lake where participants will see the special Free Wheelers’ adapted bikes in action.
With a goal of getting people on bikes to accumulate as many miles in the saddle as possible, Trek is encouraging sponsorship for the many events to be donated to FreeWheelers – a charity that helps disabled people enjoy the benefits of cycling through specially adapted bikes, trikes and go-carts.
Trek is also getting involved in Bike Week through its Go By Bike programme.
