Irish east coast retailer Everest Cycles hit by sizeable blaze, no injuries reported

Bike shop fire shuts road in Bray

According to a report in the Irish Times, Everest Cycles of Castle Street, Bray, Co Wicklow, has been hit by a fire.

Such was the size of the blaze that the road was closed and four units of the local fire brigade were called to the scene. Black smoke extended 150ft into the air, according to witnesses.

Happily the report said that no injuries were reported. However the Irish Mirror had more detail – the news outlet said the bike shop owner rushed upstairs to alert a man sleeping in the apartment above the shop.
