Wandertec of the US has produced a bike case that allows a bicycle and B.O.B. trailer to be packed together in the same shipping case. Arriving at a travel destination, the Cello folds and stashes on the trailer.

Combining a B.O.B. trailer with a collapsible bike case, the Cello retails for under $400 direct from Wandertec’s website although dealers are being sought.

It fits both versions of the B.O.B. trailer, Yak and Ibex.

The Cello panels are made with ABS plastic and reinforced with vinyl laminated polyester. The front and rear brackets are machined form 6061 series aluminium alloy. The top cover, parts bag, and frame cover are all made from 1050 Ballistic Nylon.

Designed by Josh Lipton of Flagstaff, Arizona, the Cello project was mentored by Philip Novotny, founder of B.O.B trailers and designer of the original Beast of Burden trailer. There is no formal connection between Wandertec and Bob Trailers Inc.

Distribution and warranty in Europe will be handled by Wandertec Europe, based in the Netherlands.
